Fashion Sakala says he’s not thinking about his individual performance but that of the team as they come up against archrivals Celtic in Sunday’s Viaplay Cup final.

The Rangers FC forward will be hoping to bag the first piece of silverware of the domestic season in the Hampden clash.

Sakala has exploded in the Old Firm derby, scoring once and assisting three times, and is expected to play a key role against the Hoops.

The Zambia star said the players need to play for the badge and win the Viaplay Cup for the fans.

“I believe it is all about the badge,” Sakala said. “And I don’t really think about my individual performance. The most important thing is about the win for the fans, and the club and the good performance from the players.”

Sakala said he is ready to give everything for a win in the Old Firm derby.

“The impact I brought into the last game was good for the squad. But I’m looking for more great performances,” Sakala stated.

“I think it’s a very important game for the club and the fans. And we are going to give everything to fight for the win and to get the trophy.”

“The other mob” comment by Sakala

Several Scottish publications have reported that Rangers coach Micheal Beale caused a stir when he was accused of referring to Celtic as “them” earlier in the season.

Sakala’s description of Celtic as “the other mob” has also sparked a brouhaha among the rival fans.

He said, “obviously, I know how important the game is when you play the other mob.”

Rangers and Celtic will clash this Sunday in the League Cup final. It is one of the fierce football rivalries in the United Kingdom.

BETTING TIP: Double Chance and both teams to score at least a goal each.
