Man Utd vs Barcelona prediction, betting tips & preview

After their 2-2 draw a week ago at Camp Nou, the two clash again at Old Trafford for a spot in the round of 16. Here is a prediction, betting tip, odds, and preview.

Barcelona vs Manchester United

Manchester United and Barcelona will face off tonight for a spot in the UEFA Europa League Round of 16.

The Red Devils started the 2022-23 season poorly, losing back-to-back games, but they have gradually improved and are doing well in the Premier League as they currently sit in third place, five points behind leaders Arsenal.

United competed in the group stage before finishing second to Real Sociedad in Group E. Barcelona, on the other hand, reached this stage after finishing third in the Champions League Group C.

Barça failed to reach the Champions League Round of 16 for the second season, finishing behind Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

The visitors have been outstanding in domestic football, winning the Spanish Super Cup and currently leading the league with 59 points, 8 points above champions Real Madrid.

The first leg between the two teams was a tense affair that ended in a 2-2 tie.

Erik Ten Hag’s men have only won one of their last 11 European games against Barcelona (drawn 5 and lost 5).

Their only win during this period came in an April 2008 UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg, which they won 1-0 thanks to Paul Scholes’ goal.

United have only lost two of their last 11 European games at Old Trafford winning 6 and drawing 3. They will be out to frustrate Xavi’s men tonight.

Despite having a good winning record over United, Barcelona have failed to win a match at Old Trafford since 2009 and will look to end the deadlock tonight.

BETTING TIP: Try a double chance for either team to win and for both to score at least one goal.
