Matthew Ndhlovu, head coach of Forest Rangers, thinks the team will be inspired to earn as many points as possible in their next games after their victory over Locus.
Fole Malembe beat Locus FC 1-0 in their week four fixture of the National Division One league on Saturday.
Musonda Chikwanda’s lone goal in the 58th minute was enough to seal the victory for the Ndola-based side.
Forest Rangers remain unbeaten, as they have won two games and drawn two games, respectively.
However, speaking to the media after the match, Ndhlovu expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance.
“I think a good fight—we have passed through a bad patch of late. I think it gives us confidence to pick more points as we go forward,” he said.
“In this league we will always struggle, especially if we take it so lightly. We were playing these guys at their home ground, so I am sure the confidence in our boys is coming up, and we shouldn’t underrate any team,” added the coach.

“I think the confidence is coming back to the team; the boys are working accordingly. I think we just need to work extra hard so that we get back to what we are known for as Forest Rangers,” noted the coach.
With eight points after the victory, Forest Rangers are now in the top four of the league standings.
