After spending two seasons in the Lusaka Provincial League, National Assembly is back in the second tier of Zambian Football.
The Parliamentarians won Group B of the National League Play-Offs ahead of the Young Prison Leopards.
The top half of the league will be the team’s main objective, according to head coach Abuild Mwale.
“We want to maintain our stay in the league in our first season back in the National League after a two-year absence; winning promotion to the Super League will be a bonus,” he stated.
The Parliamentarians once seasoned campaigners in topflight league, suffered demotion in 2018.
Mwale is certain that new players added to the squad will provide stability and competition to the squad.
National Assembly signs seven players.
“We have signed players who among them include ABSA winner with Lusaka Dynamos Potipher Zulu, Joshua Kathinji from Kenya and Stephane Polla from Cameroon,” he said.
Nkwazi Football Club’s Cleverly Chisala, Patrick Mwila, Aaron Banda, and Napsa Stars’ Aaron Banda have all joined the Lusaka-based team.
Mathews Macha and John Zyambo, who have combined to score 17 goals in all competitions, will be key to National Assembly.
