Aguila Stars FC have intensified preparations ahead of the ZPL National League transitional season.
Last season, the Eagles narrowly missed promotion to MTN-FAZ Zambia Premier League League.
Brian Kunsunama, Aguila Stars FC head coach, says the team is focused on achieving its promotion target.
Kunsunama has challenged his players and the technical bench to give their best from the first day of preparations.
“The first message I’ve given to the boys, the technical team, and everybody around us is we don’t want excuses this time. So from the onset, day one, today, we push, we work, and we don’t leave anything unturned,” Kunsunama said.
He said the team’s ambitious leadership has a bigger vision for Aguila Stars, with the club aspiring to establish itself among the best teams in Africa.
“We’ve got a very ambitious board above us, the president above us, who has that bigger picture of this team becoming one of the best in Africa. So we want to go there,” he said.

Kunsunama believes achieving that long-term vision will require the team to focus on the small details and maintain a strong work ethic throughout the season.
“It’s every step that counts, everything that we do, little small things that we do, that will make a difference. So the boys know that everybody knows that everything that we do will be the reason that we go to the Premier League,” he added.
