Tanzania head coach Hemed Suleiman says his side will look to exploit spaces in Zambia’s setup when the two teams clash in a crucial Group E 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier tonight at the New Amani Stadium in Zanzibar.
The Taifa Stars remain firmly in contention for a playoff spot, sitting second on 10 points—one ahead of Niger on nine—while Zambia trails with six. Morocco has already sealed qualification from the group.
Speaking during a pre-match interview, Suleiman acknowledged the challenge posed by Zambia but expressed confidence in his team’s readiness and tactical preparation.
“It will be a difficult match as always when we face Zambia,” he said. “But we are improving with every game. We believe we still have a chance and we are ready for this challenge. We will use the spaces that we create and take our opportunities.”
“Our job is to go back onto the field, work hard, and make use of the spaces available. We have prepared well and thought carefully about how to approach this game,” he added.
Kick-off is scheduled for 21:00 hours at the New Amani Stadium.
