Manchester United will play in the first-ever Manchester derby in the FA Cup final.
The Red Devils defeated Brighton and Hove Albion 7-6 on penalties following a 0-0 draw, with Solly March’s miss in the shootouts proving decisive.
Throughout the match, the Seagulls were undoubtedly the better team. However, both teams were wasteful in front of the goal.
No team found the back of the net to force the match into extra time and penalty shootouts.
After a highly contested shootout, March missed his penalty, and Victor Lindelof took advantage of it to send United into a record-equaling 21st FA Cup final.
It is also the first time United has reached both domestic cup finals in a single season since 1994.
