Treble-chasing Manchester City have won the first-ever Manchester derby in the FA Cup final, completing a domestic double.
Manchester City won the FA Cup final 2-1 against rivals Manchester United on Saturday thanks to a brace from Ilkay Gundogan.
Gundogan’s stunning volley set the record for the quickest goal scored in an FA Cup final 13 seconds into the game for the treble-chasing English champions.
After being awarded a penalty for a handball against Jack Grealish, United leveled the scores in the 33rd minute through Bruno Fernandes.
Pep Guardiola’s side, though, would not be denied a seventh FA Cup victory. Gundogan volleyed in the winner from the edge of the box early in the second half.
