Chelsea will tackle Leicester City in the FA Cup quarter-final fixture this Sunday at Stamford Bridge.

This is Chelsea’s last hope of winning any silverware this season after they lost the Carabao cup to Liverpool in the final. The Blues are now sitting in 11th place in the Premier league. Mauricio Pochettino’s job is also on the line, as he needs to prove to the Club owner Todd Boehly, that he can turn things around at Chelsea.

Enzo Maresca’s relentless Foxes on the other hand, are still top of the Championship. However, they now lead with just 3 points after having a dismal run of 3 losses in their last 5 games.

The last time Chelsea met Leicester in the FA Cup was in the final back in 2021. Chelsea lost that game 1-0 courtesy of a wonder goal in the 63rd minute from Youri Tielemans at Wembley. The win gave the Foxes their first ever FA Cup trophy. Chelsea though, went on to win the Champions league that season under Thomas Tuchel.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) – The 21 year old England winger has been Chelsea’s most outstanding player this season. He has now scored 11 goals and 8 assists for the Blues this campaign and looks hungry for more. He even scored one of 3 goals for the Blues’ win over Newcastle last Monday night.

Patson Daka (Leicester City) – The 25 year old Zambian striker has been in sensational form and has now found the net on 7 occasions this term with 4 assists. The last time the Foxes played Chelsea in the Premier league, Daka scored City’s only goal, however they lost that tie 3-1. He has continued to prove he’s usefulness in the team and is now a very serious threat in front of goal for the club.
