Arsenal’s hopes of winning their first Premier League title in 20 years could be jeopardized by Manchester City, who appear determined to break their hearts again when Pep Guardiola’s side takes on Tottenham Hotspurs tonight.
The Gunners’ fans will have no choice but to support their rivals Spurs who need to win to give them a realistic chance of sealing the Premier League title.
Spurs won 2-1 against Burnley last weekend, ending a four-game losing streak. They have not drawn any of their last 22 home games across all competitions (W15, L7).
Spurs’ win over Burnley kept their hopes of a top-four finish alive. However, they will need to win their last two games, starting tonight against City.
Meanwhile, City are chasing a record-extending fourth consecutive Premier League title, but Spurs, who have won the last four home league games against them without conceding, could dash their hopes.
City defeated Spurs 1-0 earlier this season in an FA Cup tie in January. Producing a similar result here would create yet more history for the Citizens, as it would be a fourth consecutive away win without conceding, a feat they’ve never achieved before in the top flight.
Guardiola’s side is currently on a 21-game unbeaten streak (W17, D ) in the league and keep Arsenal at bay.
