Liverpool missed their chance to go back to the top of the league last Sunday when they hosted a very organised and resilient Manchester United team. The draw meant Arsenal leapfrogged them to the top of the league by one point after they beat Brighton 2 nil.
Liverpool are the only team to have lost just once this whole season and they have yet to lose a game at Anfield since October, when they lost to Leeds. Arsenal have managed to win just one of their last three matches in all competitions.
The last time these two teams met was in April of this year and the game ended in a 2–2 draw at Anfield. Roberto Firmino and Salah found the net for the Reds before Gabriel Jesus and Martinelli got the equalizer for the Gunners.

Players to Watch
Darwin Nunez (Liverpool): Currently second in the rankings for the most goals for the Reds, Nunez, however, tops the ranks for the most shots taken in the squad. Liverpool number 9 has had a very difficult start to the season, scoring some spectacular goals when needed and missing some great chances all season.

Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal): The 26-year-old Brazilian striker has returned from a long injury and is already scoring goals while causing problems for defenders on the opposition side. If he can remain fit for the rest of the season, he could be the icing that Arsenal needs to clench the title this season.
