It’s evident that the result of this fixture between Liverpool and Arsenal will be regarded as a pertinent part of the title narrative.

Arsenal will be eager to extend their five points lead over second-placed Manchester City who are hot on their heels.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have been a shadow of their usual selves since the start of the campaign. The Reds know a victory against the table toppers will not only be a step in the right direction but will be essential for their confidence.

Anfield is a fortress and Liverpool will be eager to maximize home advantage. They have had a record of three losses, one draw, and one victory in their last five games.

The Gunners, on the other hand, have a record of three victories, one draw, and one loss.

However, Mikel Arteta’s men have a chance to complete their first league double over Liverpool since the 2009-10 campaign following their 3-2 victory against the Reds earlier in the season.

The Gunners last won consecutive league games against the Reds back in September 2012.

Liverpool are sitting eighth in the log standings and will desperately need a win to revive their chances of playing Champions League next season.

BETTING TIP: Try a double chance for either team to win.
