Harry Kane- Premier League record

Harry Kane became Tottenham’s all-time top scorer on Sunday after scoring the winning goal in their Premier League clash against Manchester City.

The English striker scored his 267th goal for the club to break Jimmy Greaves’ record, which stood for 53 years. He also became only the third player in history to score 200 Premier League goals.

Despite enjoying the majority of ball possesion, Pep Guardiola’s men had nothing to show for it in front of goal.

Spur’s victory, however, delights their North London rivals, Arsenal, who lost against relegation-threatened Everton on Saturday.

It was Arsenal’s second loss in the Premier League this season and risked City closing in on their lead.

Meanwhile, Spurs were without their coach, Antonio Conte, who was diagnosed with cholecystitis. Currently recuperating, the Italian gaffer must have been elated with his side’s resounding victory.

Guardiola on the other hand must be disappointed with himself after failing to close down the gap between his team and Arsenal to just two points.

City remain second in the league standings with 45 points while Tottenham are fifth with 39 points from 22 games played so far this season.
