English Premier League side, Chelsea football club have announced, that they have parted ways with Thomas Tuchel after their Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday night.
Chelsea were defeated 1-0 in their UEFA champions league opener, a defeat that came as a shocker despite the club being active in the transfer market reinforcing their squad with the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubamenyang, Wesley Fofana, Raheem Sterling, Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella.
Thomas Tuchel’s Blues have also started the English Premier League season poorly, losing two consecutive matches, drawing one and winning three.
However, according to a club statement released on Wednesday by Chelsea FC, the club has part company with the German coach.
On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time here.
As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the Club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition.
Chelsea’s coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach.
There will be no further comment until a new head coach appointment is made.

Tuchel was appointed by Chelsea in January 2021, taking over from Frank Lampard and made an immediate impact on the team where he won the Champions League in his first season at the club after beating Manchester City 1-0.
He also coached Chelsea to both their FA Cup and Carabao Cup final as they secured a third-place finish in the Premier League last season.
