Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal charges thrashed Everton 4-0 to take a commanding five-point lead over second-placed Manchester City.
Goals from Bukayo Saka, Martin Odergaard, and a brace by Gabriel Martinelli were enough for the Gunners to collect maximum points on Wednesday night.
The gunners will face Bournemouth on Saturday in their quest to continue bidding for the league title.
Arsenal Manager Mikel Arteta is happy with the team’s performance despite them struggling in the first few minutes of last night’s match.
He admitted that there is still work to be done after the poor performance in the early minutes of the game, but he was elated to see his team overcome the difficult start, particularly in the second half.
“It’s obviously really important to bounce back the way we have done it. Winning in a convincing way with very strong performances-two away victories and the home victory today,” the manager said.
“We were more efficient, much better in the counter-press and regaining the ball straight away. I think once we scored the goals in crucial moments, the team was full of confidence. We played a great game in the second half.”

Meanwhile, Arteta is excited to see the creativity and clinical finishing return to the team’s attack.
“That’s something we are going to need, to create a lot of opportunities against this block is really difficult because when we find openings, we have to be clinical and ruthless. I think the way Bukayo scored the first goal, it was top,” concluded the Arsenal manager.
