Lameck Banda came up clutch for US Lecce, scoring the only goal of the match against Genoa to get them over the line in the Italian Serie A relegation battle. He was quickest to react to a rebound in the penalty box, taking the ball into his stride before finding the back of the net in the sixth minute.

No US Lecce player had more goals (5) and assists (4) than Banda in the 2025-26 Serie A. The winger delivered his best season since moving to Lecce in 2022.

Kings Kangwa bags POTS Award, Ghampani signs out with goal

Albeit losing 5-2 to Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Be’er Sheva hoisted the Israeli Premier League title on Saturday with Kings Kangwa watching the encounter from the bench. Kangwa was honored with the Player of the Season (POTS) Award after scoring 12 goals and providing nine assists in 33 league matches.

Ghampani Lungu capped off his season on a high, netting a goal for Siwelele FC in a 2-2 draw with Toaster Nsabata’s Sekhukhune United. While Nsabata was an unused substitute, Lungu made it five goals in his final four league games of the 2025-26 campaign.

Chama misses penalty in Tanzania, Mwepu goes entire season without playing

Clatous Chota Chama, who has been on fire in recent weeks, uncharacteristically missed a spotkick for Simba SC in their 1-0 victory over Dodoma Jiji. However, everything Chama touches turns to goals. Elie Mpanzu pounced on the resulting rebound to send Simba top of the NBC Premier League.

In Finland, Samson Ngulube started IFK Mariehamn’s disappointing 3-0 loss to Jaro while David Hamansenya featured as a 57th minute substitute for Artis Brno, who qualified for the Czech National League promotion playoffs.

Over to Spain, Cadiz CF loanee Twizard Mulenga put a 90 minute shift for relegated Atletico Sanluqueno in the Tercera Federacion as they drew 1-1 with Villarreal U23. His compatriot, Francisco Mwepu, also on loan from Cadiz CF, did not play a single match due to a knee injury despite joining in August 2025.

Gift Siame and Leganes B suffer heartbreak in playoffs, Barbra’s Pride back to winning ways

Gift Siame’s Leganes B conceded at the death in extra-time, losing the Tercera Federacion promotion playoffs 2-1 on aggregate to Trival Valderas. Siame bagged three goals and as many assists in 12 matches played this season in the Spanish fifth tier.

Bay FC’s Racheal Kundananji and Angel City’s Prisca Chilufya came off the bench in narrow defeats to Chicago Stars and Houston Dash, respectively. Meanwhile, Barbra Banda clocked 90 minutes as Orlando Pride got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at San Diego Wave.

Elsewhere, Gulf United, who are set to appoint Andres Iniesta as head coach, lost 1-0 to Al Orooba in the UAE First Division with Emmanuel Mutale and Enock Sakala Jr. both starting.
