Kings Kangwa is reportedly adamant about returning to Russia after receiving an offer from Rostov.

The Chipolopolo midfielder who has also been linked to Premier League side, Nottingham Forest is said to be sought after by the Russian top-flight club.

However, according to Serbian online publication, zurnal.rs, there are no great chances that Kangwa will agree to return to Russia.

Kangwa joined Red Star last summer from Tula Arsenal in a deal worth one and a half million euros. He scored 12 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions for the Serbian giants despite not being a regular starter.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Bolanews in April this year, Kangwa hinted that he could be leaving Serbia.

“I came here to win the league and nothing else, now time has come for me to leave,” the midfielder said.

Kangwa also revealed that he received multiple offers from top European clubs. He stated that he was going to make a decision before the current transfer window closes.

Meanwhile, following last month’s reports that Nottingham Forest has made an official bid for Kangwa, the former Buildcon FC midfielder said, “If a chance comes to play in the EPL [English Premier League] why not take it?”

“I am humbled that several clubs are interested in my services,” he told the Times of Zambia. “It’s good that clubs can recognize my talent but my focus now is still with Red Star Belgrade.

With the new season set to start Kangwa returned to Serbia last week. It remains to be seen if he will leave or not.
