FC MUZA midfielder Kelvin Mwanza says his selection to the Chipolopolo squad for this month’s international friendly matches against South Africa and Angola is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
Mwanza is part of coach Moses Sichone’s 31-man team for the two friendlies leading up to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Speaking in an interview before the team’s departure for Port Elizabeth in South Africa, Mwanza expressed gratitude for the opportunity to wear national colors.
“It’s a great privilege,” he said. “This is a very rare opportunity”
Mwanza believes the back-to-back fixtures, starting with Saturday’s clash against Bafana Bafana, will provide a clear indicator of the team’s readiness ahead of next month’s AFCON assignment.

“These games will determine how we are going to perform at AFCON,” he said. “It’s very important that we see how ready the team is using these different games.”
Zambia plays South Africa on Saturday before flying to Luanda for a second international friendly against Angola on November 18.
