Kangwa, Lameck, Mutandwa to miss Chipolopolo friendlies, Frankie, Nsabata recalled

FAZ announces late additions as key players miss Bafana Bafana and Angola matches.

Israel-based midfielder Kings Kangwa has been ruled out of Saturday’s friendly against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana due to injury, while Lameck Banda will miss the match for family reasons, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced.

In-form SV Ried striker Kingston Mutandwa will also be unavailable for unspecified reasons.

Bahrain FC defender Frankie Musonda, goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata, and Austria Lustenau’s Jack Lahne, who were not part of the initial 41-member provisional squad, have received late call-ups for the friendlies against Bafana Bafana on Saturday and Angola on Tuesday next week.

Defender Stoppila Sunzu has also been left out of the final 33-member squad that has traveled to South Africa today.

FAZ further announced that Power Dynamos players have been excused to focus on their CAF Champions League preparations, while ZESCO United players—who are involved in CAF Confederation Cup fixtures—will miss Tuesday’s match against Angola.
