Frankie Musonda scored the match-winning goal for Ayr United against his former club Raith Rovers in a 1-0 Scottish Championship match on Saturday.

The Chipolopolo defender scored with a header from the center of the box to the top left corner in the 55th minute, thanks to a Sean McGinty assist.

The victory moved Ayr into the top four brackets, where they hope to finish and compete in the playoffs for promotion to the Scottish Premiership.

It was Frankie’s second goal of the season in 22 appearances after a two-month-long injury at the start of the season.

With one game left before the season ends, Ayr must win against Inverness Caledonian Thistle and hope that Greenock Morton loses on the final day to guarantee a place in the promotion playoffs.

Frankie who is now reportedly attracting interest from various clubs in the Scottish Premiership will be crucial for the Honest Men as they look to end the season on a high.
