Ferencvárosi Table €2.5M Bid for Kangwa, But Midfielder Eyeing Move to Europe’s Top Five Leagues

Kangwa is attracting interest in the transfer market after a stellar season with Hapoel Be’er Sheva, with Hungarian champions Ferencvárosi TC submitting a €2.5 million bid — but the midfielder wants a move to one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa is once again the subject of transfer speculation following a standout debut season with Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Be’er Sheva. The 26-year-old has scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 39 appearances across all competitions, drawing attention from several European clubs.

Greek giants AEK Athens and Hungarian champions Ferencvárosi TC have both officially submitted bids for Kangwa, BolaNews has confirmed.

Ferencvárosi’s offer is understood to be around €2.5 million, but Be’er Sheva want at least €7 million, believing they can attract higher offers for one of their top performers.

Kangwa, however, has set his sights higher. Sources close to the player’s management told BolaNews that he is eager to secure a move to one of Europe’s top five leagues — England, Spain, Germany, Italy, or France.

“Kangwa really wants to join a club in the top five leagues,” a source revealed. “If no offer comes from there, he will only consider other leagues if the financial package is significantly better. Otherwise, his focus remains on making a move to one of the big five.”

What’s next for Kangwa?

Kangwa’s European journey began with Russian side Arsenal Tula, whom he joined from Zambia’s Buildcon FC in 2022. In February 2024, he signed with Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade for €1.5 million but was later loaned out to Belgian side KV Kortrijk. He then completed a permanent move to Be’er Sheva in June 2024 for €800,000.

Despite having a four-year contract running until June 2028, Be’er Sheva are open to selling Kangwa at the end of the current season — provided their valuation is met.

With the club in a tight title race, they remain focused on the final stretch of the campaign but are aware that Kangwa’s future may lie elsewhere.

As the transfer window approaches, Kangwa’s next destination could hinge on whether a top-five league club makes a concrete move — or if his suitors outside that bracket can match both his ambitions and Be’er Sheva’s asking price.
