Simba SC stated on Thursday that two players, Nassor Kapama and Zambian midfielder Clatous Chama, had been suspended for disciplinary reasons.
According to the club’s statement, the duo will be summoned to the disciplinary committee for further action.
“The management of Simba SC would like to remind all its employees to adhere to the available disciplinary principles, as the club will not hesitate to take action against anyone who goes against them,” read the statement.
The club did not specify what the two players did, which led to their suspension.
However, according to BolaNews sources in Tanzania, it is alleged that Chama has been suspended for consistently being late for training.
It’s also alleged that the Zambian midfielder disrespected members of the club’s staff.
Efforts to get a comment from Chama proved futile by publication time.
Chama is expected to join the Zambia National Team camp on Tuesday, ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite struggling for game time under Avram Grant, he is part of a 55-member provisional squad for the AfCON.
