Evans Kangwa has set an ambitious target for his new Saudi club, ABHA Club, stating that he intends to help the team win promotion to the Saudi Pro League.

On Monday, Kangwa announced his move to ABHA after severing ties with Chinese club QD Hainiu. He has penned a six-month-long deal with the Saudi Club with a possibility of extending the deal to something long-term based on performance.

Kangwa has told Bolanews in an interview that his main target is to help the team gain promotion to the topflight league.

“I am happy with the new team; my focus will be to work hard and ensure that I help the team qualify for the Premier League [Pro League]. For me, my focus is to contribute heavily to the success of the club,” Kangwa said.

His club is eighth on the log with 29 points, eight behind leaders Neom.

This will be Kangwa’s fifth club abroad, having first moved beyond the borders in 2014.

Since then, he has played for Hapoel Ra’anana in Israel, Gaziantepspor in Turkey Arsenal Tula in Russia, and Qingdao Hainiu in China.
