Chaiwa has struggled for playing time at Young Boys, making two cameo appearances in the Champions League against Red Star Belgrade and Manchester City during the group stages. He also played just one game in the domestic league.

However, the midfielder was one of Zambia’s best performers at the Africa Cup of Nations against Tanzania and Morocco, and it was only a matter of time before this move happened in search of game time to secure his spot on the national team.

Chaiwa also made eight appearances with the Young Boys youth team and will hope to impress in the second tier.
