As the Elegant Dynamites take on the Diables Noirs of the Congo, FC MUZA coach Mathews Ndhlovu has made his goals clear in a dream start to their first continental football.
A declaration was made with vigor and vivacity during the pre-match press conference prior to tomorrow’s matchup against the seven-time Congolese champions.
“We need to make sure we score more than three goals this Sunday,” Ndhlovu stated firmly.
Ndhlovu added that while he is confident in his ability to win the first leg at home, he is also cognizant of the dangers the Diables Noirs pose.
“Diables Noirs is a very experienced and good side. Their levels of fitness are very good despite not being active after finishing second in the League last season,” he said.
He responded to the BolaNews Journalist when asked about the plan to stop a free-scoring opponent who were the highest-scoring team in the 2022–2023 Congo Brazzaville Premier League.
“Their scoring upfront has been quite good, and that has been homework ever since we started preparing for them. We have also looked at how we should improve on our defense balancing as MUZA FC,” he said, adding, “I think there has been an improvement in that area of concern.”
Diables coach says FC MUZA is unpredictable
Noel Tosi, the coach for Niables believes that the hosts are an unpredictable team and has given his odds of winning the game a “50/50” rating.
“It will not be easy for us because our opponents are a good team. The little we have studied about them is that they are unpredictable,” he said. “Regardless of the result here, it will be very difficult for them in Brazzaville,” he added.
