At Lusaka’s Heroes Stadium, the second leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Competition pits Canon Sport Academy against MUZA FC, Zambia’s representation in the CAF Confederation tournament.

In the first Leg of the preliminary stage, the two sides fought it out to a scoreless draw, and it will be expected that they will continue the game in their tantalizing contest.

Meanwhile, striker Andrew Phiri of the Mazabuka-based club expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to advance to the Competition’s finals in an exclusive interview with Bolanews.

“Having played against them in Equatorial Guinea, I would say we have a similar type of play, and they can move the ball pretty well. The team has really prepared well and the morale and input during the week was perfect that shows we are all working to one particular goal and that’s to win on Sunday (today), he said.

“The team is capable of reaching to the finals and winning it. We can look young and no experience in this competition, but we have big hearts and believe in ourselves,” added Andrew.

Andrew targets 20 goals this season.

Andrew hopes to surpass 20 goals this season. “My goal is to lead the league in scoring with at least 20 goals. I just have to pick up where I left off from last season,” said Phiri.
