With the second leg in the CAF Champions League fast approaching between Zambian champions Red Arrows and Angolan giants Premiero De Agosto in Luanda, the host will play without the services of their star player Ambrosini ‘Zine’ Salvador who has left the club for greener pastures in Europe.
Last weekend, Agosto defeated Red Arrows by 1-0 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League ppreliminary round played at the National Heroes Stadium, Lusaka.
The lone goal was scored by Agosto’s departing star striker Salvador, after dispossessing Red Arrows midfielder George Mandu, to launch an attack which saw him unleash a powerful strike outside the Arrows penalty box to score from long range with only four minutes played.
Primero confirmed Salvador’s departure on their social media platforms, stating that the player will be joining Greek Super League side AEK on a remunerated loan with an option to buy.
The Club’s the statement has revealed that it will benefit directly from financial returns when AEK activates the purchase option, with the loan period expected to be extended to February 2023.
Other agreements between the clubs are that, should the Greek club activate purchase option for the 20-year-old striker, AEK will have 80% of the sporting rights while the Angolan side will get benefits of 20% of the young striker’s sporting rights.
There is fear among the club’s fans that Primeiro d’Agosto’s squad for 2022-23 season will become weaker, as it already is, because the main star of the team is now leaving for Europe.
With this news coming, the Red Arrows camp would be hoping to utilize the gap that will be left by Zine, who was a threat whenever he was in attack, keeping the Red Arrows defenders consistently on their toes.

Last season, Ambrosini scored 12 goals in 22 games in the Angolan league, while he has already been called to the senior national team, scoring 2 goals in 4 matches.
The 20-year-old was one of the players who starred at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup where he scored 2 goals.
Meanwhile, Agosto have continued preparations for the return leg against Red Arrows FC as they head into the match with 1-0 first leg advantage.
The second-leg game is scheduled for Sunday, 18th September at 16:00hrs local time, at the National Stadium November 11.
