Chipolopolo goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga believes the team has what it takes to secure a positive result away from home as they face ASEC Mimosas on Sunday.
Power Dynamos and ASEC Mimosas will clash in the second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round at the Robert Champroux Stadium in Abidjan.
The Zambian champions head into the match with a 1–0 advantage and will be hoping to seal their place in the next round of the competition. To do so, Power Dynamos must avoid conceding, as an away goal could tilt the tie in the Ivorians’ favor.
Aba Yellow defeated ASEC 1–0 in the first leg at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium last Saturday, with Mulenga playing a crucial role by keeping a clean sheet.
Speaking exclusively to BolaNews, Mulenga said the team has enough quality to deliver an even stronger performance away from home.
“We have prepared well and the team looks better and ready for the Sunday match. We know what is at stake. Last time we exited the tournament in the early stages, this time around we don’t want that disappointment to repeat itself. So we will make sure we put up a better performance this time around,” he said.
The winner over both legs will progress to the next stage of the competition.
