Zambian international Clatous Chama scored a brace at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to help Simba SC record an important comeback 2-2 draw against Zambian champions Power Dynamos in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second preliminary round matchup on Saturday.
Dynamos dominated the early stages of the game, with Joshua Mutale forcing a save out of Lakred Ayoub in the 17th minute.
Aba Yellow goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga was called into action in the 20th minute, but Kakompe’s shot went wide.
Mutale’s efforts were then rewarded when he put the home side in the lead in the 29th minute.
Dynamos held their ground and proved a better side in the first half, which ended with them in the lead.
It took Simba until the 60th minute of the second half to score the equalizer through Zambian international Chama.
Dynamos then restored their lead 15 minutes later through substitute Cephas Mulombwa, who scored from long range.
