Various reports emerged on Wednesday that Senegalese forward Sadio Mané hit his Bayern Munich teammate Leroy Sané in the face during a heated dressing room brawl following Tuesday’s 3-0 Champions League loss to Manchester City.
Sané started the game against his former club, while Mané came on as a substitute in the final 20 minutes. However, the two had a verbal disagreement on the pitch late in that game.

Their squabble was said to have continued in the locker room after the game, as the former Liverpool man was reportedly unhappy with how Sané spoke to him on the pitch.
Mané allegedly struck Sané in the face, and it took teammates to intervene to separate the duo.

Meanwhile, FC Bayern Munich has confirmed that the reigning African Champion has been suspended for misconduct.

According to the statement issued on Thursday afternoon, the Senegalese will also be fined.
“Sadio Mané, 31, will not be included in the FC Bayern squad for this Saturday’s home match against 1899 Hoffenheim,” read part of the statement. “This is due to his misconduct after Bayern’s Champions League match at Manchester City. Mané will also be given a fine.”
The club has not disclosed the time frame for the suspension.
