Real Madrid advanced to the FIFA Club World Cup final with a 4-1 victory over African side Al Ahly last night but Ancelotti was left dissatisfied.
Vinicius Jr. and Federico Valverde scored in the first and second half respectively to put Real Madrid up by two goals before Ali Maaloul converted a penalty in the 65th minute.
Despite Luka Modric missing a penalty in the 87th minute, the European champions added a third and fourth goal through Rodrygo and Sergio Arribas to advance to the final where they will play Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal on Saturday.
The Los Blancos manager, however, was dissatisfied with his team’s attitude.
Ancelotti stated that his team should have wrapped up the game earlier, implying that they played with fire.
“When you are leading 2-0, we thought that the game was over and started to dribble a little too much.” “This is a tournament that Real Madrid have a lot to lose and nothing to win; we thought that the game was won 2-0, and things are not like that; we have relaxed, and it cannot be like that,” said the Italian gaffer.

Real Madrid will now assess Karim Benzema, Thibaut Courtois, and Eder Militao’s fitness, with Ancelotti claiming during his pre-match press conference that the trio could fly out for Saturday’s final.
The Los Blancos will take on Asian Champions, Al-Hilal who defeated Flamengo 3-2 in the first semi-final match.
