Saile’s impact on his Kaizer Chiefs debut on Sunday against Royal AM has impressed coach Arthur Zwane.
Ten minutes into the second half, the 22-year-old Congolese striker who had initially begun on the bench was brought on to replace Bonfils Caleb Bimenyimana.
Saile assisted Ashley du Preez’s goal in the 85th minute to secure 2-0 victory for the Amakhosi, who went three matches winless.
Zwane believes Saile’s addition to the team will help boost the Soweto side.
“Look, he gave us the extra oomph we were looking for,” Zwane told Supersport after the game on Sunday.
“We were so much aggressive, we gave them no space, we were pressing them, we knew that we will win that midfield battle, we just needed to be a little bit aggressive going forward.
“When he came on, he gave us that, that’s why we managed to score the second goal.”
Before joining Chiefs, Saile was instrumental in the Zambian Super League side, Nchanga Rangers, helping them gain promotion after scoring 19 goals and winning the golden boot award in the National Division One League.
His debut for Chiefs has since excited fans. They will now expect him to help the Amakhosi pursue a top-four finish and qualify for continental football.
Chiefs are sitting in fifth position with 27 points from 18 games played and will hope to continue with their newly found winning charm in the league.
