Peter rejoins Nyasa Big Bullets on a one-year contract.

Malawi’s Peter Banda, a talented attacker, has rejoined FCB Nyasa Big Bullets after amicably terminating his contract with Tanzania’s Simba on Monday of this week.

Banda has not been active for the past three months due to a shoulder injury he sustained in March this year when playing for the Malawi National Team in the Afcon qualifiers.

Speaking to BolaNews in Malawi, Banda said he requested Simba officials to terminate his contract due to lack of game time.

The 22-year-old, who was on loan from Bullets to Sheriff Tiraspol in Moldova, signed a three-year contract with Simba in August 2021.

“It is a short stay in Malawi, and I decided to rejoin Bullets because it is a club I love and a club which I am coming from. Playing for them will give me many opportunities as I aim to play professional football abroad,” he said.

Nyasa Big Bullets await TP Mazembe.

Bullets intend to enter his name into the Caf Champions League so that he can participate when they host TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of the Congo next month.

The club has struggled in front since they sold their top striker, a Nigerian, Babatunde Adepoju to Venda Academy in South Africa last year.

Bullets assistant coach Heston Munthali said the arrival of Banda will help them to defend the league and win other trophies.

“He has experience and that is what we are looking for, we know what he is capable of, and it is a good moment in our camp,” he said.
