For the second year in a role, Zambian coach Reuben Njavera, has earned his name as one of the nominees for the coach of the year in Botswana. Njavera, is head coach at Nico United.
Njavera, expressed his gratitude and reflected on his coaching journey.
He told BolaNews exclusively that it is heartwarming to be recognized in a foreign land.
“I am humbled to be selected as one of the nominees for coach of the season,” Njavera said.
“This is the second consecutive year I have been among the top nominees for coach of the year, and I feel I am growing in terms of experience and expertise in the coaching industry.”
Njavera’s coaching career spans over two decades, beginning in 2002 with Lusaka Celtics.
He led the club to Premier League promotion in 2003 and again in 2005 after a brief relegation.
His resume includes assistant roles at Kansanshi Dynamos, Napsa Stars, and Young Green Eagles in Kafue.
Njavera moved to Botswana in 2023, first joining Holy Ghost before taking on VTM.
