Former Zesco United striker Enock Sakala Jr. has recovered from his injury and is ready for the upcoming season following his move to Egypt.
He left Zesco United and joined Egyptian Premier League side Modern Future Football Club on a three-year deal at the start of the current season.
The versatile striker was instrumental for Zesco United last season, scoring 12 goals and helping Zega Mambo secure qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Sakala last month suffered a hamstring injury, which kept him out for three weeks, but has recovered and resumed training.
In an exclusive interview with Bolanews, Sakala revealed he has settled in well and is looking forward to the new season.
“I’m settling in well. I had a hamstring injury last month but I am fine now,” he said.
“My experience so far is okay; no complaints. I am now looking forward to playing in the league.”
The 2024-25 Egyptian League will start on 30th October 2024 and is expected to close on 30th May 2025.
Modern Future will open its campaign against ENPPI on Thursday, October 31, 2024. They won their first Egyptian League Cup in the 2022/2023 season.
