The news that Rotherham United has confirmed Andy Rinomhota’s availability for the Warriors has given Zimbabwe a boost ahead of the four-nation tournament this month.

Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Kenya will participate in the Four-Nation Tournament slated for Lilongwe, Malawi, from March 18–26.

The Warriors will take on the Chipolopolo Boys of Zambia in the semi-finals of the tournament on March 23.

The Zimbabwe Football Association selected midfield player Rinomhota for the invited mini tournament.

Rotherham, who are sitting at the bottom of the English Championship table, confirmed the midfielder’s availability.

At the moment, Rinomhota is on loan from 11th-place Cardiff City in the Championship. “The on-loan Cardiff City midfielder will jet off to an invitational tournament,” the club stated.

The club added that, “Rinomhota, who was born in Leeds, is eligible to play for his father’s national team and has been called up.”

“Everyone at Rotherham United would like to congratulate Andy on his call-up to the national team and wish him all the best during the round of international fixtures.”

Warriors interim coach Norman Mapeza has summoned a host of players campaigning in the EFL Championship.

These include Tivonge Rushesha of Reading, Macauley Bonne of Cambridge United, and Brendan Galloway of Plymouth Argyle.
