The Zambia national team is set to camp in Spain ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. The Chipolopolo will depart for Spain on December 9, BolaNews sources report.

In their last international window, Zambia played two friendlies against South Africa and Angola, losing 3-1 and 3-2 respectively. While in Spain, the team is expected to play closed-door friendlies as part of their final preparations.

The Chipolopolo are drawn in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Mali, and Comoros, and will open their campaign against Mali on December 22. Head coach Moses Sichone is expected to announce his final squad soon.

Zambia qualified for AFCON 2025 by topping Group G in the qualification stage, finishing ahead of then-champions Ivory Coast. A decisive 1-0 home victory over the Ivory Coast, with a winning goal from Kennedy Musonda, secured their spot in the tournament.

Over the campaign, Zambia showed consistency and defensive strength, recording four clean sheets, four wins, one draw, and one loss, ending the group stage with 13 points, just ahead of Ivory Coast, who finished on 12.
