Sadio Mané scored a late winner to give Senegal a 1–0 victory over Egypt and send the Teranga Lions into the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final.
His 78th-minute strike came after sustained Senegal pressure in a tightly contested semifinal where Egypt created few chances.
Senegal dominated possession but struggled to break down Egypt’s defence until Mané capitalised on a blocked shot to score.
Egypt failed to register a shot on target for most of the match, with only a late effort threatening.
Senegal will face either Morocco or Nigeria in the final on Sunday but will be without captain Kalidou Koulibaly and midfielder Habib Diarra due to suspension and injury.
This will be the fourth time Senegal will play in the final having previously played in two and only won one.
