Liberia National Team coach Ansu Keita has promised to make South Africa suffer when the two clash again tomorrow in Group K of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Bafana Bafana blew a 2-0 lead at home last Friday to draw 2-2 with the Lone Stars. As a result, their chances of qualifying for the next AFCON are dwindling.

Burnley FC forward Lyle Foster scored a first-half brace for Bafana Bafana in that match. But Liberia came out firing in the second half.

Keita’s two tactical changes proved decisive, as substitutes Tonia Tisdel and Mohammed Sangare scored to secure a vital away point.

Liberia and South Africa clash again tomorrow for the second leg which will be decisive for both teams.

With group leaders, Morocco already confirming their qualification with 6 points, both Bafana Bafana and the Lone Stars are battling for the second-place finish.

They will desperately need to win tomorrow to stand a realistic chance of qualifying.

Keita plots to make South Africa suffer

Meanwhile, Liberian coach, Ansu Keita claims that the stadium in Monrovia will be packed eight hours before kickoff.

He added that his team will make South Africa suffer come tomorrow.

“What I’m telling you is the tactical strategy We will use to make South Africa suffer and make it know we want to win,” Keita was quoted by Idiski Times. “We’re not going to choke – we’re going to play, no matter what happens, we will play.”

Keita emphasized that his team is more prepared to gun down South Africa.

“South Africa is bigger than us, in football, everywhere… but we are more prepared than them at this time. Mentally, physically, technically, and tactically we’re prepared and I’m not pushing things, I’m telling the truth, at home we’re prepared.”
