The Zambia U-20 National Team will this evening take on Gambia in their second Group C match at the ongoing Africa cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The Junior Chipolopolo Boys drew 1-1 with Benin in their opening match. They sit second in the group with just a point.
A loss for Chisi Mbewe’s side tonight will reduce their chances of progressing to the quarter-finals. Zambia will have to win to avoid a do-or-die clash with Tunisia in their last group game.

Gambia, on the other hand, will be hoping to continue with their impressive form after securing a victory in their first game against Tunisia.
A win for the Young Scorpions tonight will see them book a spot in the quarterfinal and be one game away from qualifying for the World cup.
The Gambia have managed to keep three clean sheets in their last four U-20 AFCON games.
Meanwhile, after the draw in their opening match, Zambia remained undefeated in their last six matches at the U-20 AFCON.
They previously reached the last four in this competition in 1999, 2007, and 2017 when they finally won it.
The Young Chipolopolo Boys last participated in the World Cup in 2017, when they reached the quarterfinals for the first time. The team was comprised of the likes of Leicester City striker Patson Daka, Rangers’ Fashion Sakala, and Enock Mwepu, among many other stars who are now senior national team players.
A win for Zambia tonight will put them in a better position to progress to the next round.
BETTING TIP: Try a double chance for either team to win and for both to score at least one goal.
