“As a team our first target is to go through the first round, and in football anything can happen; we are ready to meet any team. This is football; it’s a game of 90 minutes. We are ready for the tournament,” he said.
“Reaching the quarterfinal will be the best result for us,” added the coach.
The Real Nakonde coach further added that his team has studied their opponents and is ready for the encounter.
“We have not played against Zambezi Portland before, but we have watched how they play, and we have been planning for them, so we are here to compete and not only participate,” he said.
“It’s a bonus” – Simwanza.
Meanwhile, Zambezi Portland coach Chrispin Simwanza said the team with a well-executed plan will carry the day.
“It’s a bonus for us to play ABSA; it’s important that we showcase the talent we have in the National League. I think we are ready for the task,” he said.
“We are in the same division, so we take it as they are from the Copperbelt also, so we are in the same division; there is nothing like they are experienced. Football is about planning; if you execute well, you carry the day,” noted the coach.
The winner between the sides will face the Red Arrows in the next stage of the tournament.
