Nobody saw this coming, but Liverpool have made a bid for Stuttgart midfielder Wataru Endo. The Reds have offered Stuttgart around £16m for the Japan International as Klopp looks to bring in an experienced holding midfielder.
Endo is on his way to Anfield to have his medical today and has already agreed personal terms with the Reds.
The 30 year-old plays as a defensive midfielder as well as other defensive positions. He is the captain of both Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart and the Japan national team.
Skysports are also reporting Liverpool have held talks with Fiorentina via intermediaries over the potential signing of Sofyan Amrabat. It follows Liverpool’s unsuccessful attempts to bring in Moises Caiceido and Romeo Lavia.
