The Zambia National team is set to face South Africa in the semi-final of the 2023 Cosafa Cup on Friday.
In charge of the team is assistant Coach Moses Sichone who will look to guide the defending Champions to their seventh Cosafa title.
Sichone said he anticipates an exciting game against the hosts and remains confident the team will reach the final.
“We are playing South Africa; It’s going to be a good game,” he said in an interview. “We will prepare the guys mentally and physically, and we hope to reach the finals,” the coach said.

Sichone stated the team should not be intimidated by the home fans, but should just enjoy the game.
“It’s a double motivation. You are playing with a team with the fans behind them; they should feel that morale on the pitch.
He challenged the players to step up and also revealed that head coach Avram Grant visited the Chipolopolo.
“They [players] need to be ready to do more and make our country and fans happy. I have been in touch with the head coach, and it’s good motivation for the guys to see him,” concluded Sichone.
Grant, who has taken a backseat role in this tournament, visited the Chipolopolo boys during their final training session on Tuesday.
