Prisca Chilufya is working hard to make the final team while she is with the women’s national team that left for Germany yesterday.
Prior to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which Australia and New Zealand will co-host, the copper queens will play the Republic of Ireland on June 22, Switzerland on June 30, and Germany on July 7.
At the overflowing Woodlands stadium over the weekend, the Copper queens overcame the Tanzanian Twiga stars 1-0 in their final game.
The ultimate World Cup final squad is expected to be revealed by Copper Queens head coach Bruce Mwape following the three international friendlies.
Prisca hopes to be in the final squad.
Prisca, a midfielder, based in Turkey, expressed to the FAZ media that she still has chance of making the tournament’s final roster.
Chilufya said, “I am very confident making it to the final list. I just need to focus on getting myself in the top 23 players.”

She believes that the three friendlies will help the team know how prepared they are ahead of the tournament.
“The camp is very important because it will show us how far we have prepared and how ready we are so we have to take it very serious so that we see how the players have gone with trainings.
“We must treat the camp seriously, because it will demonstrate how far we have come in our preparation and how ready we are,” she added.
