Over the weekend, Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was in attendance during the El Clasico match which ended 2-1 in favour of Barcelona after a late winner by Frank Kessie.
Aubameyang is, however, said to have openly expressed his desire to return to Barcelona.
other reports also suggest the former Arsenal captain he is willing to take a pay cut to move back to Spain.
Spanish media outlet SPORT reported that the Gabonese is wailing to move back to Spain.
But his visit to Barcelona hasn’t gone down well with Chelsea, who are now reportedly open to terminating his contract.
The striker was signed by then-Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, who was sacked just weeks later.
On September 2, he moved to Stamford Bridge for £10 million from Barcelona, after seven months at the Nou Camp, where he scored 13 goals in 24 games across all competitions.
Aubameyang has made 18 appearances in all competitions under Graham Potter. But he is currently considered “surplus to requirements” after being dropped from Chelsea’s Champions League squad.
He has played only seven minutes this season in the Premier League which came on January 21.
