Tenant Chilumba, a head coach for NAPSA Stars football club has acknowledged mounting pressure but emphasized that the team is working tirelessly to secure their first victory of the season.
On Saturday in Kalumbila, NAPSA Stars forced a 2-2 draw against and Kansanshi Dynamos.
The pensioners are still searching for their first win of the season since the campaign opened.
NAPSA is 8th with four points from five games, with four draws and one defeat.
However, speaking to journalists after the match, Chilumba expressed satisfaction with the away result.
“Away from home, it’s a bonus for the team. “We wanted to win today, but we have a game on Wednesday; we just have to go and work on the mistakes and look forward to the next game,” he said.
He praised both teams for putting up a strong fight during the match.
“I think it was a tough game. I can’t mention the officiating, but of course it destroyed the game; the first half and second half had too many fouls, but of course he is a human being; he is bound to make errors, but that disturbed the morale of the team,” he added

“Pressure is there; it’s a transition season. That’s when you should get maximum points, but we haven’t yet; we’re working on it. It’s our target for the next game,” noted the coach.
NAPSA Stars will next face league defending champions, Power Dynamos on Wednesday.
