On 4th October, Makeni All Stars made a historic debut in the top flight, holding Kansanshi Dynamos to a goalless draw at REIZ Arena in Week One of the season.
Francis Majaka, Makeni All Stars head coach in his second super league match is targeting a first win when his side takes on Nkana in Stream A of the MTN Super League at Nkana stadium on Saturday.
However, Majaka believes his side must improve its finishing after failing to convert several chances created in their opening match.
“We are going to work on finishing the chances we are creating. Especially in this first game, we had some chances,, but we failed to utilize them,” Majaka said.
The coach said improving the team’s striking force would be a major focus ahead of the encounter against Nkana.
“The team must improve, especially in finishing the chances we create. So, it is better to work on it. I will try to join my technical bench to work on that striking force,” he said.
Majaka said Makeni All Stars would approach the fixture with determination despite expecting a difficult encounter against the Kitwe giants.
“We will take it as it comes. It is the same team participating within our league, so we have to face each team with vigorous play,” he said.
He acknowledged the challenge posed by Nkana but remained confident that his team could compete for maximum points.

“I think it can be a difficult game for us, but we will try by all means to win it,” Majaka said.
Nkana FC coming from a 1-0 win over Trident FC, the match will provide Makeni All Stars another opportunity to impress in the Super league campaign.
