Fathi Reveals Target Ahead Of Kansanshi Dynamos’ Visit To Green Eagles

Kansanshi Dynamos will head into Choma for their Week 22 MTN fixture this Saturday in search of revenge for first round defeat suffered to Green Eagles.

And head coach Muhammad Fathi, is confident that the Mabanga Boys are equal to the task despite the long distance between Solwezi and Choma.

For Mabanga Boys, their last visit at Choma Independence Stadium was a 4-1 win for Green Eagles. A win has been elusive for Kansanshi Dynamos since 2011.

In an interview with the club’s media, Fathi said the players and technical bench are firmly focused on the match, unlike the distance.

“We are just focused; we are strong-minded. And we didn’t look at the long distance or short distance. We were looking at how we’re going to win the game, how we’re going to get positive results from the game, and how we enjoy our game and make our people proud here in Solwezi,” he stated.

Fathi is also confident the players returning from injury will add extra fire power to the squad considering how they played in a 1-1 draw against Mutondo Stars.

“We’re good. We missed a lot of players in the previous two games. But now they’re back, and slowly we come together again, and we can have positive results,” Fathi said.

“Our game against Eagles won’t be easy. We are looking to have something positive from this game. We don’t want to come out of that ground empty-handed.”

“Kansanshi has done well” – Mutapa.

For Green Eagles who are coming from a 2-1 away win at Nakambala Stadium against FC MUZA in a Week 21 fixture, their head coach Perry Mutapa believes the match against Kansanshi Dynamos is an opportunity for consistency.

“Kansanshi, I think in the recent games they have done so well, but for us we have to keep up this run. We have done so well as a team,” he noted.

“The biggest worry is now about keeping the clean sheet. In terms of scoring, I think we have done very well because of the chances we create. But the most important thing at this time is three points, not the return of goals, and we are at home.

“We are confident, but we shouldn’t be overconfident. We are at home and we should play as a team and try to collect the maximum three points.”
