Several goal scoring machines set the Zambian top flight alight in 2025, making it count for their sides with their net-bulging moments. Be it from long range or scrappy finishes in the six yard box, these players found the back of the net on a regular basis.

BolaNews unveils the list of top scorers in the Zambian Super League (ZSL) in 2025.

5. Innocent Kashita (Nkwazi): 6 goals

Kashita had an exceptional scoring run with Nkwazi FC last year prior to his move to Power Dynamos in the summer. The midfielder netted six goals for the Policemen in 2025.

Also on six topflight goals for the year are Power Dynamos trio Brian Masanyinga, Chifundo Mphasi and Moses Shumah. Others include Freddy Michael Kouablan (Zesco United), Given Kalusa (FC MUZA) and Collins Sikombe (Green Eagles)

4. Bornwell Mwape (Green Buffaloes): 7 goals

In the wake of 2025, Bornwell Mwape parted ways with Nchanga Rangers to join Zambian Army-sponsored outfit Green Buffaloes. The former Chipolopolo forward has found the back of the net seven times for the six-time ZSL winners in 2025.

3. Francis Banda (Kabwe Warriors): 8 goals

With eight ZSL goals for Kabwe Warriors FC in 2025, Banda takes bronze in these rankings. He only had three league goals to his name the previous year, highlighting a remarkable improvement.

2. Christopher Itaka Ilonda (Nchanga Rangers): 9 goals

At the beginning of the year, Itaka closed his chapter with ZSL record winners Nkana FC to join newly promoted Nchanga Rangers FC.

Leading the race for the 2025-26 ZSL Golden Boot with six goals, Itaka has scored nine league goals this calendar year. Impressively, six of his nine goals (67%) have been match-winning goals.

1. Idriss Ilunga Mbombo (Nkana): 13 goals

The crown for the 2025 Zambian Super League top scorer belongs to Congolese striker Idriss Ilunga Mbombo. He scored 13 league goals for Nkana FC last year.

Mbombo racked up double digits in the second half of last season, making a late push for the 2024-25 ZSL Golden Boot, which he successfully bagged alongside Titus Chansa. He became just the fourth player this century to be the top scorer on multiple occasions.

The former Al Shabab forward has had a scintillating year and will be hoping to pick up where he left off in 2026.
