Copper Queens goalkeeper Hazel Nali is on the verge of sealing a move to Europe following a full recovery from a serious knee injury, BolaNews can exclusively reveal.

Nali, who missed the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand due to a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and laxity in the Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL), is now back to full fitness and ready for a return to competitive action.

The shot-stopper has spent the last two months training with Zesco Ndola Girls, reigning champions of the Eden University Women’s Super League. The club has tabled an offer, but her representatives have confirmed to BolaNews that they are currently assessing multiple offers — both local and international — before making a final decision.

Sources close to the deal have hinted that a European club, whose identity remains under wraps for now, is currently leading the race for Nali’s signature. A move abroad would not only mark her return to top-flight football but could also see her reclaim her spot in the national team setup.

Since Nali’s injury, the Copper Queens have lacked a settled first-choice goalkeeper, with former coach Bruce Mwape and current head coach Nora Hauptle alternating between Catherine Musonda and Ngambo Musole.

All indications point to a big move for Nali this summer — with her next destination, either in Zambia or Europe, set to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
